Alice and Emma were good friends at school. They shared a dark sense of humour, and liked to sit together at the back of English. Sadly, they lost touch, but 15 years (how did that happen?), four sons and a strange quirk of fate later, and their paths crossed again.
In their time apart they had both been dressmaking, embroidering and spending far too much time in funny little second hand shops. Together they hatched plans to make pretty new things from old and unloved ones.
They made presents for friends, then friends of friends, then friends of friends of friends... until they found themselves happily busy making lovely things all day long.
