Hello. This is Alice. And this is Emma.
We were the best of friends at school (several moons ago), shared a dark sense of humour and liked to sit together at the back of English. Somehow, we lost touch – but 15 years (how did that happen?), four sons and a spooky quirk of fate later, and our paths crossed again.
We discovered that in our time apart we'd both been busy dressmaking, embroidering and spending far too much time in funny little second hand shops. Together we hatched plans to make gorgeous new things from old and unloved ones.
We made presents for friends, then friends of friends, then friends of friends of friends...until one day, we found ourselves happily busy making lovely things all day long.
